Chlorophyceae

Kelompok ini memuat semua ganggang dengan materi pewarna hijau, klorofil, dan tidak disertai dengan materi pewarna kedua, seperti pada kelompok lain. Chlorophyceae itermasuk pula tanaman air tawar dan air asin

Pohon evolusinya terbagi atas tiga dahan

1. Volvocales, Chaetophorales, & Chlorococcales
2. Chlorellales
3. Oedogoniales
