Dendrobatidae

Katak kecil, diurnal dan beracun yang ada di dasar hutan tropis di Amerika tengah dan selatan (walau ada juga sedikit yang nokturnal dan arboreal). Katak ini dikenali dengan pola warna yang terang dan beragam, walau beberapa genera ada yang berwarna gelap. Katak racun dari genera Dendrobates, Epipedobates, dan Phyllobates umum ditangkap dan dipelihara. Anggota famili paling beracun disini adalah Phyllobates terribilis
